April: Divine Mercy

About Divine Mercy:

In 1925 Faustina Kowalska joined the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Warsaw, Poland. Sister Faustina was a young, uneducated woman from a family with 10 children. On February 22, 1931, Jesus appeared to this simple nun, bringing with Him a wonderful message of Mercy for all mankind. The Catholic Church canonized her as a saint on April 30, 2000. She is venerated within the Church as the "Apostle of Divine Mercy".
