Wednesday within the Octave of Easter. Luke 21:13-31
The two disciples felt disappointed, frustrated, discouraged, and helpless as they set on their journey to Emmaeus. The death of Jesus, the "supposed to Messiah," looks to them as a failure. There are many occasions when we have felt like God has failed us or let us down. Emmaeus teaches us that God never fails. God is not yet finish with us. In our times of disappointments, God journeys with us. He is near to the broken hearted. Faith in the name of Jesus is a power that changes our life. May we allow God to heal our frustrations and disappointment by finding our strength from the Scriptures and the Eucharist. No one finds the rainbow by looking down. Always lift up your head. Always have faith that Jesus is walking with us on our roads of life.
Christ is risen, alleluia
