The Sacred Heart, also known as the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the most widely practiced and well-known Catholic devotions, where the heart of Jesus is viewed as a symbol of God’s boundless and passionate love for mankind”.
In the burning and wounded Sacred Heart, we see that God’s heart is consumed with love for us—so much so that he was willing to suffer and die for us. The Sacred Heart teaches us that true love is always costly, but that it always gives life.
Pray with Me:
Sacred Heart of Jesus today I wish to live in you, and in your grace. Keep me from sin and strengthen my will to do good. Help me to change any of my ways that lead me to sin. I beg you to do this, O Jesus, through Mary, Your Immaculate Mother. Amen.
Lord, you deserve all honor and praise, because your love is perfect and your heart sublime. My heart is filled to overflowing with gratitude for the many blessings and graces you have bestowed upon me and those whom I love. Forever undeserving, may I always be attentive and never take for granted the gifts of mercy and love that flow so freely and generously from your Sacred Heart.
